Our Story
About Karachi Piles Clinic
Karachi Piles Clinic was established with one clear purpose: to give patients with piles, fissure, fistula and pilonidal sinus a specialist option they could not find anywhere else in Pakistan. Before KPC, patients in Karachi had to see a general surgeon who handled dozens of different conditions. Anorectal diseases require specific expertise, specific equipment, and a specific surgical technique.
We are the first clinic in Pakistan dedicated exclusively to anorectal conditions. Every patient who walks through our doors has the same category of problem, and every procedure performed here is in this specialty alone. That focus translates directly into better outcomes.
Karachi Piles Clinic uses laser technology for all major procedures — LHP (Laser Hemorrhoidopexy) for piles, Laser Sphincterotomy for fissure, Laser fistulotomy / FiLaC + LIFT for fistula, and Sinus Laser Closure for pilonidal sinus. These are internationally recognised techniques that dramatically reduce recovery time, post-operative pain, and complications compared to open surgery.
Patients travel from across Pakistan — Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, and abroad — to have procedures done at KPC. The clinic operates Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Shaheed-e-Millat Road, Karachi Memon Society, Karachi.
The Founder
Dr. Abdullah Iqbal — MBBS, FCPS

Qualifications & Credentials
Dr. Abdullah Iqbal is a qualified general surgeon (MBBS, FCPS) who made a deliberate decision to specialise exclusively in anorectal conditions. What began as a surgical career covering a broad range of procedures evolved into Pakistan’s first laser proctology practice — driven by the realisation that patients with piles, fissure and fistula deserved a doctor who did nothing else.
Over 13+ years of surgical experience — with more than 5 years dedicated exclusively to laser proctology —, Dr. Abdullah Iqbal has performed over 5,000 procedures including laser piles surgery (LHP), laser sphincterotomy for anal fissure, FiLaC for anal fistula, and Sinus Laser Closure for pilonidal sinus. This volume — 5,000 cases in a single specialty — gives him a level of precision and pattern recognition that no general surgeon can match in this specific area.
Patients come to Dr. Abdullah Iqbal not just for the procedure but for the diagnosis. Many arrive having been misdiagnosed for months or years — told they have piles when they actually have a fistula, or prescribed creams for what is a fissure needing a procedure. His clinical examination takes under 15 minutes and provides a clear, honest answer that most patients have been waiting a long time to hear.
Laser Procedures Performed
Dr. Abdullah Iqbal regularly creates educational content on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok to help Pakistani patients understand their conditions before they visit a doctor. His patient-first philosophy — clear explanations, honest prognosis, no over-treatment — is what makes Karachi Piles Clinic different from a standard surgical practice.
Research and academic contributions. Dr. Abdullah Iqbal has authored multiple research papers published in national and international medical journals on laser-based treatment of anorectal disease. He also conducts surgical workshops and trains other surgeons in laser proctology techniques — helping expand the availability of these procedures across Pakistan beyond Karachi Piles Clinic itself.
Where the clinic sits. Karachi Piles Clinic operates from inside Hill Park General Hospital on Shaheed-e-Millat Road, a central Karachi location served by major arteries. Patients from DHA, Clifton, PECHS, Gulshan, North Nazimabad and beyond reach the clinic within 10–20 minutes, and OPD evening hours (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 5:00–8:00 PM) are designed around working schedules. Consultation fee is Rs. 2,000.

What Patients Say
Patient Reviews & Ratings
“Honestly was avoiding this for over a year, kept thinking it would go away on its own. Finally went when bleeding got worse. Dr. Abdullah didn’t make me feel weird about it at all which I really appreciated — just a normal medical conversation. Laser procedure ke time bas pressure feel hua, dard nahi. Was back at my desk in 4 days. Sirf yeh shikayat hai ke pehle kyun nahi aaya.”
• Karachi“Lahore se aaya specifically for this. Three doctors in our city gave me three different opinions — one said piles, one said fissure, one wanted to do open surgery for 80k right away. Dr. Abdullah ne 15 minute mein proper examination ki and explained it was actually a fissure with grade 2 piles together. Got the laser sphincterotomy. The travel was worth it just for the correct diagnosis. 6 mahine waste ho gaye doosre doctors ke chakkar mein.”
• Lahore“Posting this for my walida, she is 62 and had been suffering for almost 10 years. Hamare ghar mein sab open surgery hi karwate aa rahe the so laser ka socha hi nahi tha. Dr. sahab ne baith ke poora samjhaya in Urdu, ammi ke saare sawal patience se sune. They didn’t make her feel ashamed which mattered a lot at her age. 5 days baad walking normally, ek hafte mein dawai bhi khatam. Allah inko aur barkat de aur sehat de.”
• Karachi“Tried two private hospitals before this. First one wanted to do all kinds of unnecessary tests. Second one quoted 60k then on procedure day suddenly bola anesthesia separate hai, facility charges alag. Aaya yahan on a friend’s recommendation. Mujhe written quote di gayi before booking and that’s what I paid — no surprises. Procedure went smoothly. Follow-up was already included. Yahan tak ka honesty Karachi mein milna mushkil hai.”
• Karachi“Pilonidal sinus 3 baar pehle open surgery se karwaya tha at different hospitals, har 6-8 mahine mein wapis aa jata tha. Genuinely was losing hope. A friend ne KPC ka bataya. Procedure 40 minute mein ho gayi, no big cut, no daily dressing wali tension. It’s been 14 months now and Alhamdulillah recurrence nahi hui. Yes it cost more than the open surgery, but compared to losing 6 weeks of work every year — the maths makes sense honestly.”
• Karachi“Hamari culture mein for a woman to go to a piles specialist is not easy at all. I cried so many times before finally booking. The female staff made me comfortable from the first phone call onwards. Dr. Abdullah was respectful during examination, used proper drapes, didn’t ask anything unnecessary. Same evening main ghar wapis aa gayi after the procedure. Mere shohar ka kehna hai ke main ab bilkul different lagti hoon — I had been in pain quietly for over a year. Posting this just so other women know it’s okay to go.”

Why Choose Karachi Piles Clinic?
There are many surgeons in Karachi who treat piles. Here is why patients who have tried other options come back to KPC and recommend it to their families.
Pakistan’s First Laser Proctologist
Dr. Abdullah Iqbal is Pakistan’s first laser proctologist focused exclusively on this specialty. No other clinic in Pakistan offers all four laser anorectal procedures under one roof.
Same-Day Discharge
All laser procedures are day-care surgeries. Patients arrive, have the procedure done, and go home the same day. No hospital admission, no multi-day stay, no disruption to work or family.
5,000+ Procedures, Zero Guesswork
With over 5,000 anorectal procedures performed, Dr. Abdullah Iqbal has seen every presentation, every complication, every unusual case. This volume translates into clinical confidence that patients feel from the first consultation.
Accurate Diagnosis First Time
Many KPC patients arrive after being misdiagnosed elsewhere. Piles, fissure, fistula, and abscess all look similar to the untrained eye. A dedicated proctologist diagnoses correctly the first time — saving months of wrong treatment.
4.9★ Patient Satisfaction
Over 200 verified patient reviews maintain an average rating of 4.9 out of 5. Patients consistently highlight accurate diagnosis, clear explanation of treatment, minimal post-operative pain, and prompt recovery.
Honest, Patient-First Approach
Dr. Abdullah Iqbal only recommends a procedure when it is genuinely needed. Patients are never pushed towards surgery if conservative management is appropriate. Honest advice, even if it means fewer procedures, is the KPC standard.
